Therapy dog joins Canton police to help first responders, victims of crime

CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) – Canton police now have a new addition to their police force, Therapy Dog Autumn.

The trained Labradoodle and her partner Officer Brian Wasilewski have attended Peer Support training and will be available to help victims and witnesses impacted by crime, as well as assisting officers and dispatchers who experience daily stress and trauma while on the job.

“We are always looking for innovative ways to improve our service to the community. Therapy dogs have been invaluable in lowering stress for victims and first responders, improving interviews, and connecting with more of our community. Autumn will be a welcome addition to our team,” said Canton Police Chief John Gabbard.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
