NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP)—Fat Dogs on South Dewey Street hosted the fourth annual Born and Brewed event over the weekend.
The event featured many different breweries from Nebraska giving samplings of their products to the public while enjoying the Drew Phillps Band from North Platte. Guests could purchase hot dogs and enjoy other fun activities like cornhole.
The Wilkinson Development Company, which owns Fat Dogs, partnered with NEBRASKAland Days to provide a fun event before the Buffalo Bill rodeo while also getting people more familiar with the Fat Dog brand, according to the president of travel centers Jim Riewe.
“After we opened this store just to help grow the brand, the Fat Dog name out there, and our c-store travel centers,” Riewe said. “We thought it would be nice to celebrate a lot of the companies and vendors that we do business from Nebraska, so the logo Born and Brewed came about with a little think-tank-type thing with our team, and we had it trademarked so we have the trade mark Born and Brewed. We like to celebrate those vendors that do business with us in our stores and have them come, and we like to give them exposure, and they come out and do this.”
