MT. VERNON, Ind. (WFIE) – Thanksgiving came early for shelter dogs and cats in Mt. Vernon!
Volunteers and staff at Newlife Rescue & Adoption prepared plates of food and treats for the resident animals at the shelter.
“The kitties got their new recently donated toys/hammocks/trees, so thank you to those to donated!” said the shelter on Facebook. “Now that they all have full bellies and have played themselves out, it’s nap time!”
The Thanksgiving plates featured cookies, whipped cream, meat and green beans.
