Las Vegas homeowner cited for two misdemeanors after 30+ dogs found loose

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Animal Protection Services are sharing new details about more than 30 dogs found in a northwest valley neighborhood Tuesday.

According to the City of Las Vegas, officers arriving at the scene spotted 20 dogs running at large in the front yard of the home. Initial reports had advised that the home’s front door was open, but it was unclear if anyone was home.

Officers and neighbors were able to catch 19 dogs at first, but it was later confirmed that 35 dogs were inside the residence. All dogs were later taken to the Animal Foundation

Once inside, the officers noted that the home was “in poor condition with an extreme amount of feces and urine build-up.”

Neighbors also informed officers that they had not seen the homeowner for more than a week. Police would later make contact with the owner, who said she had not been living in the home because repairs were underway.

She added that she came by daily to feed and water the dogs.

A city spokesperson shared that the homeowner has been cited for two misdemeanors, involving the number of dogs in the home and sanitation.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
