ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4)— In a Liberty High School classroom in Wentzville, students are making tasty dog treats.
The canine concoctions are crafted by the work experience class.
“So, my students come in, and we teach them prevocational skills they will need outside of high school,” explained teacher Abby Bollwerk.
The class sells the treats, called “Starbarks,” to make money to buy ingredients for the meals they learn to make in their essentials skills class.
