According to TFRD, the entire front of the home was engulfed in flames.
TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department responded to a house fire in the 800 block of Berry Street in East Toledo shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15.
According to firefighters on scene, the entire front of the home was on fire before it was extinguished. TFRD states that the fire was contained to only one floor of the home.
According to first responders on scene, nobody was in the home at the time of the fire, but three dogs were pulled out. TFRD said that responders tried to resuscitate the dogs, but all were pronounced diseased.
Lucas County Canine Care & Control was also on scene during the incident.
TFRD stated that no firefighters were injured while battling the blaze. An investigation into what caused the fire is currently ongoing.
