Scrolling through social media the other day, I saw an ad for the first-ever dog-friendly cruise. What a great idea! Now, I do have questions about the dining room and bathroom situations, but I’m sure the masterminds behind this exciting endeavor, Cruisetails, have everything figured out.

The Margaritaville at Sea Islander is set to sail from Tampa, Florida a year from now with 250 dogs and their people. The people will have a blast, I’m sure, but these pups will have opportunities to be totally paw-mpered. With their own personal private potty patio, pet butlers, pet massages,
250 lucky dogs can bring their humans along for a truly first-time experience. You will be a hero among your friends, and envied by every cat you know! Your personal pet butler will make sure your entire experience is sublime.

And just like any cruise, there will be music and activities. The website mentions an 80’s themed night, dog shows, contests, photo shoots, and exotic locations, so there will be plenty of fun to be had.
I found a rule that I appreciated as well, which was no dogs in the dining areas. More information and guidelines will be announced soon. I hope they figure out a way to deal with barking! Would you ever take your dog on a cruise?
