TAMPA, Fla. (WKRC) – A cruise line will soon offer a vacation experience on the high seas tailored around your canine companions.
The Islander cruise ship from cruise line Margaritaville at Sea is opening its guest list up to a whole new species: dogs.
Margaritaville at Sea announced it would be inviting 250 dogs (and their owners) to the ship in November of 2025 for a specialty cruise that treats both the human and canine passengers.
Information was still scarce at the time of the announcement, but the company revealed it was working with Cruise Tails to create the first dog-centric cruise.
The vacation will include events like dog shows, costume parties, and even puppy massages, according to Cruise Tails. The company even said each dog would be paired with their very own “pet butler” to ensure their living space is always clean.
The animals will even have their own personal bathrooms on the cabin balconies.
The only way to apply for more information regarding the cruise at the time of the announcement is through the Cruise Tails website, which includes submitting proof that your dog has up-to-date vaccines and veterinarian visits.
More information about how to apply and general details about the cruise are expected to release in the weeks after the announcement.
