Boston cop shoots at dog that reportedly attacked 2 people: Police

A police officer shot a dog that reportedly attacked two people in Roxbury, according to Boston Police.

Cops responded for a report of a dog attacking two people at 35 Dennison St., at around 4:29 p.m. on Monday.

“BPD FDIT and the Homicide squad have been requested for an officer who discharged their firearm at a dog who attacked two people,” Boston Police said in a statement.

Both victims were bitten by the dog, and were transported to a local hospital. One of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries.

Two police officers were bitten by the dog, and sustained non-life threatening injuries. The cops were also transported to the hospital.

The initial dog attack happened inside the residence, and then the officers were attacked outside in front of the house.

The dog was transported from the scene by Animal Control, and three other dogs were also taken from the scene.

The Homicide Unit was called out to the scene because of the extent of the serious injuries. That unit is conducting the investigation, along with the department’s firearms discharge investigative team.
