EPD: Over 50 neglected dogs taken from Evansville home

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The Evansville Police Department say officers assisted Evansville Animal Care & Control Saturday with taking over 50 dogs from a home on the 900 block of South Elliott Street.

Police say Animal Control relayed to Dispatch that they were having issues with the owner of the dogs.

When officers arrived on scene, they say the home’s floors were covered in a mixture of feces, urine and hair from the dogs.

Animal Control had initially told Dispatch that there were over 30 dogs in the home, but over 50 had been taken.

There has been no word on the wellbeing of the dogs taken to the Evansville Animal Care & Control as their office is closed on Sundays.

We will update you if we learn more.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
