Three people were injured Friday morning after a pack of dogs attacked multiple individuals in downtown Bartlesville.
Bartlesville Police reported that the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the 500 block of East 12th Street. Authorities managed to contain the dogs for quarantine. Three people were transported to local hospitals for treatment of injuries sustained during the attack. Their conditions remain unknown.
During the response, one of the dogs charged aggressively at an officer, who discharged a single round, striking the animal. An investigation into the circumstances of the attack is ongoing.

Central Middle School, located two blocks away, enacted safety protocols, keeping all students indoors after police alerted them to the nearby situation at 10:40 a.m.
“At that point, we did not allow any students outside of the building as police and admin ensured all exits were covered,” the school said in a message to parents around 11:30 am.
“We have been informed that the situation is under control, and once the police call is cleared, we will resume normal activities. We will not resume until the all clear is given, just to be on the safe side.”
