Chihuahua owner ‘punched man in the face and threw his sausage dog’

  • Police were called after the dog owners clashed outside the luxury development

Police were called to a multi-million pound apartment block along the River Thames after a physical fight broke out between a sausage dog owner and a Chihuahua owner on a late-night walk.

Christofer whose sausage dog is called Bobby, alleged that he was struck in the face by the Chihuahua owner after their tiny pets started scuffling outside the exclusive Thames City apartments in Nine Elms, south west London.

Christofer, 24, admits that he threw a punch back as the pair came to blows in the public park at around 9pm. The man who owns two Chihuahuas allegedly picked up the one-year-old sausage dog, a Dachshund mixed with a Jack Russell, and threw it

It comes after another dog owner this week shared footage of the same Chihuahua owner launching a vile tirade of abuse at her in the same public garden.

Dog owners allege they are being targeted by the man over his claims that only Thames City residents should be using the park, even though it is a public space which is the preferred place in the neighborhood to bring dogs.

Recalling the incident on January 10 earlier this year, Christofer, who works in technology consultancy, told MailOnline things took a nasty turn after his dog and the two Chihuahuas start barking and scuffling with each other.

He said that he was in the park with his friend, their dogs both off the lead, when the man and his girlfriend entered one of the gates with their two Chihuahuas.

‘That night, both of their dogs and my dog was off the lead, they went at each other and started having a little fight, it was not that serious but it was something that me and him were trying to separate,’ he explained.

‘Both the dogs are small and we both went down to try and separate them. When that happened, the guy punched me.

‘He punched me on the face, on the side of my head and after then out of instinct, I hit him back.

‘Afterwards, he took my dog, he grabbed it and threw it away. He literally grabbed my dog and he just threw him.

‘During all of this, he was shouting really aggressively.

‘I had to pick him up and grabbed him in my arms, I started walking away. And then he came back towards me.

‘I had a bruise on my lip.

‘After that, he started shouting ‘do you know who I am?’ as if he was someone important.’

Christofer said that he reported the incident to the police who said they would be in touch with him afterwards, but he did not hear anything back.

He claims a couple weeks later his brother bumped into them and asked them what happened, but the couple became aggressive and told him to tell Christofer to avoid the park.

A few days later, Christofer was coming back from the gym and saw them in the distance himself.

Christofer, who started filming the interaction, explained: ‘They followed me and the guy started speaking aggressively to me.’

In footage shared with MailOnline, the Chihuahua owner admits punching the sausage dog owner, but claims that he only punched back.

In the recording, the aggressive man can be heard shouting: ‘I don’t care if it’s recording. You punched me in the mouth and you got a punch back so you learnt your lesson.

‘If your brother wants to learn his lesson tell him to come find out, otherwise take it legal.

‘If not stop f***ing walking in our field, go and have a good day you melt.’

Speaking about the man allegedly throwing his dog, he said: ‘I was really shocked and really angry, but my common sense told me to grab my dog. I was really angry but I realised I couldn’t just let my dog run around.

‘If someone hurts someone you care about, you are really angry. I wasn’t sure if he was going to do it again.’

A spokesman for the Met Police said: ‘At around 22.40hrs on Wednesday, 10 January 2024, officers were called to Carnation Way, Sw8 following reports of an altercation between two men.

‘It is alleged that one man punched the other, but that he left prior to police arrival.

‘The victim, a then 23-year old man, did not wish to take the matter further.

‘The victim did not sustain any serious injuries.’

It comes after the same man was filmed launching an abusive rant at two female dog owners.

Shocking footage obtained by MailOnline shows the Chihuahua-owning couple shouting at the two women who were walking their Husky-mix breed in the same park as Christofer.

Mariana, 32, said she thought she was going to be attacked by the male dog walker who erupted with fury at public park outside the waterside development on Tuesday.

Mariana and her friend were walking their pets, a Chowski (Chow-Husky) and a Pomsky (Pomeranian-Husky) called Luna and Kon, in the park when they say they were screamed at by the man’s girlfriend.

Furious that the Chowski had approached her two Chihuahuas, the woman allegedly started yelling and demanding that their dogs be put on a lead.

Instead of calmly addressing the situation, she called her boyfriend, who majorly escalated the row outside Thames City, where apartments range in price from £3.8million to £7.8million, according to Foxtons.

In the video, he can be heard shouting: ‘Take that thing to the rescue centre. That dog should be on a lead. Put your dog on the f***ing lead. Put it on a lead.’

Mariana, who told MailOnline this was the third time they had got annoyed about the dog approaching their Chihuahuas, could be heard saying: ‘I’m sorry who are you?’

But the enraged man hit back, saying: ‘Who the f*** am I? I’m the owner of that f***ing dog.’

As Mariana moved closer to him, he then stared down the camera lens and yelled: ‘One of you lay a finger on me and I’ll drop you.’

As dog zoomed around him, he then shouted: ‘He’s attacking me. I’m going to hurt it in a second.’

Visibly distressed by the situation, Mariana’s friend added: ‘Don’t be like this all the time.’

But the furious man replied: ‘Don’t be like what? You can’t control your dog. Your dog should go to a home.’

Approaching the dog, he added: ‘Get your dog away from me. Move away with the dog. You are f***ing mental.’

And walking towards the women, he said: You are f***ing mental. You are mental.  Go home. F***ing ugly ****, you and your dog.’

The male dog walker, who locals are aware of, then allegedly followed the women as they walked back to their nearby home.

The man was furious that they were walking their dogs in the park outside of the block where he lives when they live a few buildings along.

‘Walk where you live, f***ing  idiot,’ he shouted in a second video shared with MailOnline. ‘What are you going to do? Your dogs running around… you can’t even control it.’

Speaking after the terrifying ordeal, Mariana told MailOnline: ‘This guy has this switch that just flips.

‘He’s very well known in the area. I thought at one second I was 100 per cent ready for him to hit me. It’s a dynamic that changes and something in his eyes.’
