Well, technically they both aren’t mine; my son’s pupper, Callie, is a Pittie mix. Mine is all Pittie. Anyway, our route took us past our polling place, and I initially could only see Trump signs. I was perturbed by that but was not surprised. (Smells of desperation). During our walk I encountered an old friend of my son’s, who was out with his young son. We got to talking and he said he was going to vote for Trump. I reminded him that his daughters now have less rights than I did growing up. He said he “didn’t know that”, which was pretty much his response to every fact I brought up concerning Trump. He s the definition of a “low information voter” so I don’t know if I convinced him. I tried.
Walking along, I came across Ashley Ehasz and Jim Propiak signs that had been ripped out. Oddly enough the Trump signs were fine. I was attempting to put the Ashley Ehasz sign back up, but was struggling because I also had two larger dogs attached to my arms. Some young boys were riding by on their bikes, and upon a request for help did assist me with restoring the Ashley Ehasz sign. I couldn’t find the metal stand for the Jim Propiak sign or I would have requested help with that too. I did make an off-hand remark that if someone is so intimidated by a sign, maybe they shouldn’t vote. I did thank these young men for their help, even though I realized the sign would probably be torn down again.
That’s my story for today. Btw, I voted early, for Kamala, Ashley and Jim!
