Pima Animal Care Center Offers Free Crates and Dog Beds with Dog Adoptions

TUCSON, Ariz. — Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) is encouraging dog adoptions by offering free crates and dog beds to anyone who adopts a dog weighing 40 pounds or more.

This promotion runs from November 1 to 10, or until supplies last, as the shelter aims to help new pet owners welcome their furry friends into their homes.

Currently, all dogs and puppies are free to adopt at PACC. The shelter is home to a variety of adoptable dogs, including dozens of puppies under six months old. Pets adopted from PACC come spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, which can save adopters hundreds of dollars in veterinary care.

PACC Director Monica Dangler highlighted the urgent need for more adoptive homes, noting that the shelter is seeing a higher intake of dogs than adoptions. “We know Pima County residents care deeply about these pets, and so do we,” Dangler said. “That’s why we’re asking for our community’s help in finding foster and adoptive homes. We want PACC to be a stress-free environment for both pets and visitors.”

Currently, PACC has 550 dogs in its shelter and another 800 in foster care. In October alone, the shelter took in 915 dogs, the majority of which were strays.

PACC is located at 4000 N. Silverbell Road and is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from noon to 7 p.m., Wednesday from 1:30 to 7 p.m., and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
