Two adorable dogs have blown up online thanks to their Halloween costumes paying tribute to a viral moment involving Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
Cissa and Chopper, two golden retrievers, were dressed up by their own as the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his pop icon girlfriend.
The Texas-based pups were adorned in a Chiefs jersey with Kelce’s number 87 on the front, while Cissa wore a red tulle skirt and blonde wig with red ribbons. Both dogs wore ‘friendship bracelets,’ traditionally handed out by Swift fans at her concerts and which Kelce has also been spotted wearing.
Cissa’s look was completed with a bespoke T-shirt that read: “Karma is a Guy on the Chiefs.”
That referred to a viral moment from November 2023, just weeks after Kelce and Swift had gone public with their romance. Kelce jetted to Argentina for a show on her Eras tour.
The viral moment happened when Swift changed the lyrics to her song “Karma,” as Kelce watched on in person alongside the singer’s father, Scott Swift.
“Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me,” Swift sang, replacing the original lyrics, “Karma is the guy on the screen, coming straight home to me.”
Kelce reacted to that moment on his return to the U.S. in an episode of his New Heights podcast that he hosts with brother, Jason Kelce, “When I heard it come out of her mouth, it still shocked me. I was like, ‘Oh Shhh…’ she really just said that,” he said last year.
A snippet of that moment played over the video of Cissa and Chopper on their official TikTok account and got nearly 723,000 views. The video was later reshared to X, formerly Twitter, where it received almost 242,000 at the time of writing.
“Karma is the pup on the chiefs,” read the caption on TikTok.
Newsweek contacted Cissa and Chopper’s owners by email on Friday morning for comment.
People reacted to the pups’ Halloween costumes in the comment section of the TikTok.
“This just made me so happy,” wrote @dariakateb.
“Those outfits made me giggle 🤭 (love it!)” added @ilovetaylorswift8.
“Oh my gosh I’m obsessed with this! 🫶💖🤩” commented @_blondeboulevard_.
Swift changing her lyrics to reference Kelce has not been the only time she’s paid tribute to him during her record-breaking Erastour, which is coming to the end of its 152-show run in a matter of weeks.
When performing her song “Midnight Rain,” she performs a different gesture every night towards the end of the song. She regularly does something which references Kelce, whether pretending to throw a football, mouthing the word “touchdown” and imitating the tight end’s iconic bow-and-arrow touchdown routine.
