FENTON, Mich. (WNEM) – A shelter in Fenton provided an update on some of the dogs who were rescued from a hoarding situation in Burton in mid-October.
Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton shared some photos of the dogs two weeks after they were rescued from a home in Burton.

The shelter said the photos were taken after they had received medical attention and grooming.
“This was among the worst cases I’ve seen in my 23 years with Adopt-A-Pet,” the shelter’s Facebook post said.
According to the shelter, all of the dogs are doing great since they’ve gotten clean living conditions, fresh food and water every day, soft beds and blankets, toys, and love. They’ve all gained weight and their anemia has gotten better, the shelter said.
Some of the dogs are still on the road to recovery, and a few have already been adopted into their forever homes, the shelter said.
