Repeat break-ins at Marlboro County Animal Shelter leave dogs without food

The Marlboro County Humane Society shared on social media Friday evening that someone broke into their storage building and stole all of their dog food.

The Humane Society said:

Someone decided to cut the lock not once but twice in the last week on our storage building and steal all of dog/puppy food we had. It takes roughly 100-125 lbs of dog food daily to feed the amount of dogs we have in our care.

As if our shelter operating with 3-4 times its capacity of dogs and cats and the mental and physical exhaustion from all of our staff is not enough We are stressing to get food to have to feed the animals in our care.

Officials said they’ve filed a police report with the Bennettsville Police Department and Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office.

“So if you were planning on coming to take the rest of the cat food here is your warning,” the Humane Society said via Facebook.

Officials said a cash reward is available for information leading to the identity of the person who stole the food.

The Marlboro County Humane Society is asking if anyone would like to donate food for the animals in their care, to drop it off or mail to the animal shelter at 242 Ag Street Bennettsville, S.C. 29512.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
