44 dogs killed in fire at Upstate NY rescue shelter: ‘We are heartbroken’

Canton, N.Y. — More than 40 dogs are dead after a fire at a rescue shelter in Upstate New York.

The Associated Press reports a fire was reported early Thursday morning at the No Dogs Left Behind building at the Maple Ridge Kennels in St. Lawrence County. Flames engulfed the building and killed all 44 animals inside before firefighters could save them, the Canton Fire Department said.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
