JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Dogs were brought from Jonesboro Animal Control to the lawn of the Reng Student Union at Arkansas State University on Wednesday.
Students could come and play with the dogs as a means of relieving stress.
“This is something they do every year, and the students come out and play with the dogs,” said Traci Troutman, an Animal Control Officer. “Sometimes it’s a good pressure reliever for them, and they love it, and we love doing it.”
She said it was also a way for her organization to inform people about adoption.
“We want to educate everyone on the importance of adoption because these guys deserve a second chance,” Troutman said.
Troutman added that it is good for the dogs to get out and interact with all the people.
