Marion County Fire Rescue firefighters save three dogs from house fire

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB)—Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) firefighters said they responded to a house fire at Banyan Track Friday night, with several dogs trapped inside.

MCFR firefighters said they arrived on the scene off Baseline Road around 11 p.m. where the caller’s backyard and porch were on fire.

Units arrived a little over a minute and they found smoke showing.

Three dogs were found and removed from the home.

The fire was called under control less than half an hour later.

No injuries were reported on the scene, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.

The American Red Cross was called in to assist the homeowner and her canine friends.
