One Columbus East senior and all four varsity seniors from state-bound Columbus North have been named to the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association Academic All-State team.
North’s Hank Lin, Parth Shah, Michael Crossman and Yoki Murabayashi are on the first team, along with East’s Tyler Ernst.
East, North and Trinity Lutheran all made Team Academic All-State.
Finke named Coach of Year; locals make All-MHC
Hauser cross-country coach Ben Finke has been named Mid-Hoosier Conference boys cross-country Coach of the Year after leading the Jets to the team title on Saturday. Nolan Dailey won the race and is joined on the All-Conference team by Mason Moore, Max Moore and Koleson Gerentz.
Hauser’s Maley Jordan has been named All-MHC in volleyball. Also on the first team are Aniston Bostic, Zsophia Sharp, Makayla Somers and Taylor Somers from conference champion South Decatur and Kenna Streeval from Edinburgh. Hauser’s Charleston Gelfius and South Decatur’s Paige McQueen made honorable mention.
Bull Dog runners receive Exemplary Behavior Report
The Columbus North cross-country program has earned an Exemplary Behavior Report from the IHSAA.
The Bull Dogs were recognized for their respect and courteous conduct at Saturday’s Brownsburg JV Invitational by meet official John Yantiss.
