The owner of the dogs, Heather Rodriguez, has 10 days to appeal the decision.
The victim, one-year-old Jiryiah Johnson, was at Rodriguez’s home at the time of the attack. Rodriguez was supposed to be babysitting him, but Johnson was left alone with Rodriguez’s 13-year-old daughter.
That’s when the three pit bulls got loose and attacked the baby. Johnson was rushed to the hospital, but despite all best efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
Rodriguez was arrested after the attack and is being charged with three felonies.
