Woman missing in Pickens County after going on hike with dogs, family says

STORY AS IT DEVELOPS. CREWS IN PICKENS COUNTY ARE SEARCHING FOR A WOMAN WHO DISAPPEARED WHILE HIKING. AND THIS IS DAY TWO OF THE SEARCH FOR MAYA. PAYTON IS LIVE NEAR THE SCENE WITH THE LATEST UPDATES. MAYA. WELL, MARK AND SYDNEY, IT IS GETTING COLDER AS THE DAY GOES ON SO CREWS ARE RUSHING AGAINST TIME RIGHT NOW. WELL, I SPOKE TO THE CHILDREN OF THE MISSING HIKER AND THEY ARE CLINGING TO HOPE AS CREWS SEARCH THESE RUGGED TRAILS LOOKING FOR ANY SIGNS OF THEIR MOTHER. NOW, THE DAUGHTER SAYS THAT HER MOTHER HAS PARKINSON’S, WHICH MAKES THIS SEARCH EVEN MORE URGENT, AS SHE SAYS THAT SURELY THE MEDICATION HAS WORN OFF BY NOW. NOW WE WENT BACK UP THE MOUNTAIN JUST A FEW MINUTES AGO. WE SPOKE TO CREWS WHO SAY THAT THEY HAVE WENT DOWN THESE MANY TRAILS, THE SUSPECTED TRAILS, THAT SHE MAY HAVE GONE ALONG AND THEY’RE NEARING NEAR THE ROADWAYS NOW. SO IF THEY DO NOT FIND HER AFTER GOING THROUGH THESE TRAILS, THEY’LL HAVE TO FIGURE OUT THE NEXT STEPS. WELL, THEY DID FIND SOME CLUES, THOUGH, ALONG THE WAY. I’M TOLD THAT SEARCH TEAMS FOUND A DOG THAT WAS WITH HER. SHE WAS GOING WITH TWO DOGS, SO THEY FOUND ONE OF THOSE DOGS ALONG WITH CAR KEYS AND DOG TREATS. BUT NO SIGN OF HER YET. THE SEARCH BEGAN YESTERDAY AT 5:30 P.M. AFTER HER HUSBAND REPORTED HER MISSING. HE HAD ALREADY BEEN COMBING THE AREA HIMSELF BEFORE CALLING FOR HELP. PICKENS EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR BILLY GIBSON SAYS CREWS STEPPED IN RIGHT AWAY, BUT AS NIGHT FELL, HURRICANE HELENE’S DEVASTATION WITH THE FALLEN TREES CREATED A DANGEROUS CONDITION FOR THE CREWS. AND THEN FORCED THEM TO SUSPEND THE SEARCH. THE AREA STRETCHES ACROSS MILES AND MILES WITH NO CELL SERVICE COMMUNICATION. IT’S ALL NON-EXISTENT IN THE AREA THAT WE FEEL LIKE, SHE WENT INTO THE THE AREA WE KNOW THERE ARE AT LEAST A HALF A DOZEN TRAILS THAT ARE THAT ARE MARKED, THOSE THAT ARE RECOGNIZED BY DNR AND FORESTRY THAT HAVE BEEN PUT IN OVER THE YEARS. SO IT’S A GOOD BIT OF GROUND TO COVER. WELL, THEY ARE RUSHING AGAINST TIME, GIBSON SAYS. LAST NIGHT IT GOT DOWN TO THE 30S AND THEY ARE CONCERNED WITH WITH HER, WITH HER, WITH STANDING THESE COLD CONDITIONS FOR ANOTHER NIGHT. NOW, METEOROLOGIST CHRIS JUSTUS TELLS ME THAT FOR PICKENS COUNTY, YOU KNOW, THESE TEMPS WILL FALL FAST. GETTING TO THE 40S THIS EVENING. WELL, THESE CREWS SAY THEY ARE WORKING AS HARD AND AS FAST AS

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
