Over 100 dogs adopted this month but Memphis Animal Services still over capacity

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In first days of October, more than 100 dogs from Memphis Animal Services (MAS) have found their forever homes.

FOX13 reported that MAS was at over capacity last month because of a stray dog problem in the city. But in the fist nine days of October, 120 dogs were adopted from the animal shelter.

MAS had more than 315 dogs in a facility designed for 185 permanent kennels. Though it is making progress, the animal shelter said it is still way over capacity.

“While we’re still over capacity,” MAS said in a Facebook post, “we’re truly making progress.”

The animal shelter is offering free adoption through Tuesday.

MAS is located at 2350 Appling City Cove in Memphis.

The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
