Person, dog killed in Seaside trailer fire

SEASIDE Ore. (KPTV) – One person and a dog were found dead by first responders after an overnight trailer fire, according to the City of Seaside.

Firefighters and police responded to a reported trailer fire around 2:15 a.m. Sunday at the Pine Cove Trailer Park on Highway 101 in Seaside, where they found smoke visible from the inside of the trailer. The trailer’s door was hot to the touch.

As police were evacuating people from nearby trailers, the trailer became engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were ultimately able to knock down the flames around 2:45 a.m., but the bodies of the person and dog were later found inside.

The cause of the fire and deaths remains under investigation.
