LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WJW) — An annual event in Lakewood proved Halloween costumes aren’t just for humans.
Lakewood Alive hosted the 17th annual Spooky Pooch Parade and festival at Madison Park in the Birdtown neighborhood Saturday afternoon, celebrating our beloved four-legged friends.
‘Tragic accident’: 9 year-old dies after being hit by car
Along with live music, dog games, crafts and vendors, the premier event every year is the dog parade. Dozens of dogs sporting flashy and creative Halloween costumes strutted their stuff through the park. The dogs with the top costumes walked away with special prizes.
“Anything dog-related, the Lakewood Park Dog Park is definitely involved in. We support dog lovers everywhere, said Susan Shields with V.P Lakewood Dog Park.
“We’re big Ohio State Buckeye fans, but she also has Guardians stuff in the car in case she changes later. And a little bit of the Browns, but we’re gonna keep that in the trunk,” said a dog owner holding his pooch.
