Seven dogs killed in Cecil County kitchen fire, officials say

Seven dogs were killed in a Cecil County kitchen fire Saturday evening, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal.

At 7:26 P.M., firefighters responded to 16 Post Road in Port Deposit for a dwelling fire.

A total of 50 firefighters from the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun responded to the scene and had the fire under control within 45 minutes.

Officials say the fire was discovered by the residents and the primary cause of the fire is under investigation.
