Rochester, N.Y.— A woman was seriously hurt while being attacked by two dogs Thursday morning.
Rochester police responded around 11:45 a.m. to a home on Sherwood Avenue, where the victim, who is in her 80s, was attacked by a pair of “pit-bull-type” dogs that lived in the same house as her.
She was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital, where she is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
A man in his 20s was hurt trying to help the victim. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Police said this does not appear to be a random attack.
