In August, Bosco wandered up to someone’s porch and lucky for him, that someone worked at a local veterinary office. The staff at The Plains Veterinary Clinic were kind enough to care for him for over 3 weeks while looking for his owner. Unfortunately, no one claimed him. Bosco appears to be a Senior grey Staffy or Pittie and may have been dumped, as so many Senior dogs are in our county. While he waited, Bosco was a very good companion to the front desk staff and was friendly with every person and dog he met. They also learned that Bosco does not extend the same kindness to cats. He will need a feline-free home.
Without an owner, Bosco had to come to the shelter where he has been waiting ever since. We can confirm that Bosco is fantastic with other dogs and every person he has met. When you approach his kennel, Bosco is sitting there with a big smile on his face, waiting for you to come in and pet him. Bosco deserves a second chance, this time with a family who will not abandon him. He still has plenty of spunk and will be a dog that both loves adventure and naps on the couch.
Please call the Athens County Dog Shelter at (740) 593-5415 to meet Bosco.
