K-9 Officer Kari, a 5-year-old bloodhound from the Murfreesboro Police Department in Tennessee, saved a dog that was stranded on top of a 20-foot-tall tree.
Police said they were helping the Kingsport Fire Department with the community’s destruction amidst the aftermath of Helene, specifically helping find flood casualties,on Wednesday.
During the search, K-9 Kari began barking uncontrollably to alert the search team that a dog was perched high in a tree, laying on a pile of debris.
The fire department was able to rescue the stranded dog.
With the help of their local animal control, it was reunited with its owner.
