MANLIUS, N.Y. — It’s a story with a happy ending!
On Monday, September 30, the Manlius Police department was called into Minoa for a report of an animal crying in a wooded area.
When Police arrived, citizens who called police helped lead officers to an abandoned well. Once there, police say they were able to find two dogs which had fallen into the well.
Police say the dogs were up to their necks in “muck” and were in dire need of rescue. Lt. Snyder with the Town of Manlius Police, along with other citizens, were able to free the puppies and locate the owner who had previously reported the dogs missing.
Besides being dirty, police say the dogs appeared in good health and were returned to their owners.
