PETA activists storm Hermes runway show
Luxury brand Hermes recently faced an unusual disruption at their runway show in Paris, with not one but three animal rights activists storming the show to protest against animal abuse. The seemingly peaceful fashion show was suddenly taken over by animal rights activists from PETA advocating against the brand that is renowned for using exotic skin.
The protesters breached the catwalk briefly, holding signs that condemned the brand’s use of animal products. Of course, security was right around the corner with the personnel swiftly removing the protesters from the show.
While the disruption may have caused a brief moment of chaos and surprise for the audience, this isn’t even the first time the brand has been targeted by the famed organisation.

PETA targets Hermes for their use of exotic animal skin
Hermes has been a frequent target of animal rights activists in recent years due to its use of exotic skins like crocodile and lizard in its iconic Birkin bags. As sustainable fashion takes over the scene, the incident is just one example of the growing movement against the use of animals in fashion.
As consumers become more aware of the ethical implications of their purchases, many are choosing to support brands that prioritize sustainability and animal welfare. Before Hermes, PETA had also targeted the Dior show earlier this week for the brand’s use of feathers, with just one protestor very briefly entering the catwalk.
