2 arrested after authorities take custody of 2 children, 14 dogs in Greenville drug bust

GREENVILLE, Texas (KLTV) – Investigators confiscated 1.5 kg of cocaine and 750 fentanyl pills in a drug bust that led to CPS taking custody of two children.

On Wednesday, authorities executed a narcotics-related search warrant on a residence in the 2400 block of Hillcrest Avenue in Greenville, according to the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said the house was being used to sell narcotics.

During the search, authorities said they found what was believed to be 1.5 kg of cocaine, 750 fentanyl pills, hydrocodone pills, Xanax pills, marijuana, six firearms, one stolen firearm, cash and materials for packaging the drugs.

Child Protective Services was called to take custody of two children, and the SPCA of Texas took 14 dogs determined to be part of an unlicensed breeding operation.

Charles William Bryant, 34, and Jaida Kaye Bridgewater, 25, were arrested and each charged with two counts of endangering a child and two counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance. Bond has been set at $825,000 for each.

The Greenville Police Department, Texas DPS, CPS and SPCA assisted in this case.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
