Meet the North Jersey adoptable pets of the week for Sept. 27: Cola and Josie

Meet NorthJersey.com’s adoptable pets of the week for Sept. 27!

Each week, NorthJersey.com would like to highlight adoptable animals from local shelters and rescues.

If you foster, work at, or volunteer with a North Jersey animal shelter or rescue and know of some animals who are in need of a loving fur-ever home please send a photo, description and adoption information to amwallace@gannett.com to have your adoptable pets featured in the next edition.

This week we are featuring Cola and Josie from Cold Nose Warm Heart Dog Rescue in Succasunna.

Cola

Cola is available for adoption through Cold Nose Warm Heart Dog Rescue in Succasunna.

Cola is a 1-year-old domestic shorthair cat. She originally arrived at the rescue with her kittens. The first day she arrived, Cola left her kittens to go explore and she has since acted as if she has lived in a foster home her whole life.

To describe Cola as friendly is an understatement. She craves attention, following you wherever you go. She loves food as much as she loves people and is not one to forget when her meal is coming.

Sweet, bubbly and often the center of attention, Cola may be the cat for you. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Cola does well with even-tempered small dogs and other cats.

Josie

Josie is available for adoption through Cold Nose Warm Heart Dog Rescue in Succasunna.

Josie is a 2-year-old terrier mix with a playful, sweet personality. Her foster family describes her as a powder keg of happiness as she is always excited to greet people and spread unconditional love and joy.

A big kid at heart, Josie loves to play catch and tug of war. She loves the outdoors and can spend hours running around the yard, so an active family with a fenced yard is ideal. With her spunky personality, it is recommended that if there are children in the home, they be 8 years old or above.

Josie is fully housebroken and is working on the crate, but does fine in a small, gated room when not home. Although she is getting better on leash, chipmunks and squirrels do distract her. Josie needs to be slowly introduced to other dogs and gets scared when another dog barks in her face, so a proper introduction is necessary. No cats please.

Josie is a bundle of happiness that will bring love and joy to your home!

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
