13-year-old girl attacked by pack of dogs in downtown Hayfork

A 13-year-old girl was attacked by a group of dogs in Hayfork last week.

The victim, Stormy Ashby, was walking in Downtown Hayfork last Thursday around 4:30 p.m. when she noticed some dogs following. According to Stormy’s mom, Stormy wasn’t initially scared and continued walking but then the dogs started to get aggressive and attacked her.

They bit her leg and Stormy fell to the ground screaming for help and that’s when community members ran to her side calling 911 and her mother.

“They’re owned but they’re not licensed or vaccinated .. we’re hoping that the sheriff’s department will detain all of the dogs and put them under quarantine so she doesn’t have to undergo rabies prophylaxis treatment,” said Shawnee Westman, the victim’s mother.

During Trinity County’s Budget Hearing Stormy sent in a statement that was read by a Trinity County resident where she expressed her disappointment in the county and claims the dogs have a history of benign aggressive not only with people but other animals as well.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
