SCRANTON, Pa. — As midterms near, students in Lackawanna County got a little help relaxing from man’s best friend.
University of Scranton’s Center for Service and Social Justice hosted Pet Therapy on Tuesday.
Students, faculty, and staff spent time with about 50 dogs, including some therapy dogs.
Organizers say the pups calm everyone as exams approach.
“It’s scientifically proven that if you pet dogs, it relieves stress. That’s our thought process. It works, if you look around you see the smiles, it’s awesome,” said Kyle Kennelly, senior.
