A ‘tail-gate’ for the dogs

For those who proudly call themselves both dog parents and Badger fans, it’s time to jump around: Hilldale Shopping Center is hosting a pet-friendly “tail-gate” on Thursday, Sept. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. as part of their Yappy Hour event series.

Dogs are encouraged to sport team colors when they take to Hilldale’s miniature football field and fetch some touchdowns in support of Dane County Humane Society (DCHS), the nonprofit animal shelter set to receive any donations given at registration or on-site.

Afterwards, dogs and their humans can commemorate the big game with portraits drawn by DCHS-sponsored caricature artists. Or they can walk around Hilldale for a “pup crawl” filled with Petphoria treats and visit one of several photo-op locations along the way.

Stop into stores like Paper Source, Morgan’s Shoes, Levi’s, Kendra Scott, The University Bookstore and others, too, for sales and special dog-themed products. And a reminder to the first 50 dogs who register and donate at least $10 to DCHS: don’t forget to sniff out and collect the free “swag bag” you earned.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
