Family of four and their dogs escape early morning house fire

SAN ANTONIO – A family of four and four dogs made it out safely after a massive house fire on the South Side.

The fire started just after 5 a.m. at a home off Gran Vista Street near Leonhardt Road.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage. Firefighters helped get the family out and were even seen handing some dogs to police officers to get them to safety.

Due to the floor inside being unstable, crews were called out of the home and ladder trucks were used to fight the fire from the outside.

No word on what caused the fire, but investigators say it started in the garage.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
