In her viral video, TikTok user Shauna (@shauna_thefairydogmother) named the breeds she would never have as a pet.

For her first pick, she revealed that she would avoid owning a cockapoo.

However, the groomer admitted that she had no real reason for this decision other than the fact that a lot of people own the popular breed.

She added that cockapoos have a “lot of hair needing to be tamed.”

Shauna also said that she would never opt to own a West Highland Terrier.

She explained that when she first groomed the breed she wanted one but then learned of the health conditions associated with it.

The TikToker estimated that 90% of the Westies she groomed had health problems.

“I’ve never seen a dog so prone to skin issues,” Shauna told her audience.

She also named other breeds known for their own conditions, mainly to do with breathing.

The top breeds with breathing issues she has encountered are pugs, English Bulldogs, and Shar Peis.

While not all of these dogs are guaranteed to have ill health, she explained that the risk is too high for her.

For her next no-go dog breed, Shauna explained that she was “pained to say” that it is a German Shepherd.

She revealed that her dad was “badly mauled” by two German Shepherds and while she doesn’t hold it against the breed, she would avoid owning one for his sake.

Finally, the professional groomer said that she would never opt for a “small fluffy dog”.

While she didn’t go into much detail on her decision, she hinted that it was because she prefers a lower maintenance pooch for grooming.
