Dogs unharmed after going with stolen SUV

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – After his SUV was stolen Saturday night, the owner of two dogs spent hours searching for them before he said he found out the animals had been dumped by the alleged thieves, that’s when he said he found his pets through the help of a social media post.

Stanley Pearson said he took to the Anchorage Pets Lost & Found Facebook group, asking for locals to help him find his missing vehicle and animals.

“My first instinct once I when I saw the vehicle was was stolen was just the only thing I cared about at that moment, was just the dogs and their safety.” Pearson said, while holding his dogs Penny and Alfie in his lap Sunday night.

Pearson said he recounts the event as a blur, which included his sister being contacted by Facebook users who saw the post and recognized Penny and Alfie on the streets. The dog dad said he’s thankful to the Anchorage community for helping reunite him with his pets.

The dogs are in good condition.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
