ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – On Saturday, the parking lot at the base of the Sandia Tram was full of dogs and their owners, who met up to enjoy the last day of summer.
Tails, Trails and Treats is a unique meet-and-greet event for pets and pet parents. Animal-friendly vendors and dog rescues from across the city joined in on the fun.
Tram officials said they wanted to create an event to say thank you to their employees and to help dog owners connect with local services.

“We believe that we have a high customer base of dog lovers, and this is our way of merging the two worlds and inviting them to come up and spend a morning on the mountain,” said Devan Dotxtator.
To top off the good time, there was a table full of doggy-approved treats.
