LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The owner of multiple dogs was taken into custody in the northwest Las Vegas area after they were found dead inside a truck, according to police.
Las Vegas Metro police located the truck at 3 p.m. on Tuesday in the 3100 block of North Tenaya Way near Cheyenne Avenue after reports of a dog locked inside a U-Haul. When officers arrived, they rescued the dog, police said. During the investigation, officers found 7 deceased dogs in the back of the truck.
The dogs were described as both small and large breeds. The incident remains under investigation by the LVMPD Animal Cruelty Section.
