Dynamic Dogs adds more therapy teams

Dogs have long been referred to as man’s best friend, but nowadays they even work as therapists.

The Dynamic Dog Club of The Villages added 10 more therapy dog teams to its ranks in the past six months. That means they can make even more visits to the  around 20 facilities in the area where they provide comfort and bring joy.

“Our teams go to the schools, hospitals, assisted living and memory care facilities,” said Carmen Tedrick, therapy teams coordinator. “The dogs sit with and interact with people, and doing that can help calm them or brighten their day.”

Research on therapy dogs shows they help reduce blood pressure and heart rates, as well as stress levels.

Tedrick, of the Village of Osceola Hills, said there are 93 active therapy dog teams in the club. They choose where they want to go depending on the preference of the handler and the dog.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
