Despite best overall season record, Sea Dogs miss the playoffs

Nearly 400,000 fans enjoyed a game at Hadlock Field this season.

PREVIOUSLY TEAMED UP… WEARING SPECIAL JERSEYS IN HONOR OF THE CITY OF LEWISTON. THE SEA DOGS WILL CONTINUE THEIR SUCCESSFUL SEASON THIS WEEKEND AT HADLOCK FIELD, BUT RIGHT NOW THE ATTENTION HAS TURNED FROM THE DIAMOND TO THE BROADCAST BOOTH. THE SEA DOGS BROADCAST TEAM IS GETTING THE MAJOR LEAGUE CALL UP.. THE DUO WILL MAKE THEIR DEBUT IN BOSTON ON MONDAY NIGHT. CONNOR CLEMENT IS LIVE AT HADLOCK FIELD TONIGHT WITH MORE ON THIS MOMENTOUS OCCASSION. THE GOAL OF ANY PLAYER THAT COMES THORUGH PORTLAND IS TO MAKE IT TO THE BIG LEAGUES..OFTEN TIMES THAT’S THE SAME GOAL FOR BROADCASTERS. FOR EMMA TIEDEMANN AND RYLEE PAY THAT’S THEIR DREAM.. AND ON MONDAY THEY’LL GET TO MAKE THAT DREAM A REALITY WHILE MAKING HISTORY. MONDAY NIGHT AT FENWAY PARK WILL MARK A DREAM COME TRUE FOR EMMA TIEDEMANN AND RYLEE PAY, AS THEY TAKE THEIR PLACE IN THE BROADCAST BOOTH TO CALL MAJOR LEAGUE PITCHES. FOR BOTH BROADCASTERS, THE COUNTDOWN TO THIS MOMENT IS FILLED WITH A MIX OF EMOTIONS. 18;49;25-18;49;35 VERY NERVOUS, VERY EXCITED, BUT OVERWHELMED REALLY, WITH A LOT OF THE PREPARATION, THE EMOTIONS AND EVERYTHING THAT’S COME ALONG WITH IT SO FAR. BUTTED 18;49;48-18;49;53 JUST LIKE THE PLAYERS, THIS IS YOUR GOAL TO BE IN THE BIG LEAGUES ONE DAY AS A BROADCASTER AND WORK IN BASEBALL. BUT THIS IS MORE THAN A DREAM FULFILLED; IT’S A HISTORIC MOMENT. THE DUO WILL BECOME THE FIRST FEMALE PAIR TO BROADCAST A RED SOX GAME AT FENWAY PARK. 18;51;41-18;51;56 IT’S A HUGE HONOR AND NOT ONE THAT WE TAKE LIGHTLY. YOU KNOW, BEING THE FIRST OF SOMETHING, IT ONLY HAPPENS ONCE AND TO HAVE OUR NAMES ASSOCIATED WITH THAT IS IS REALLY GOING TO BE SPECIAL. BUT TO US, IT WILL BE JUST ANOTHER BASEBALL GAME TO CALL. TIEDEMANN AND PAY HAVE WORKED TOGETHER FOR THE PAST TWO SEASONS IN PORTLAND, AND NOW THEY’LL BE JOINED BY DAVE O’BRIEN, THE CURRENT RED SOX PLAY-BY-PLAY ANNOUNCER AND A FORMER SEA DOG LEGEND. 18;51;06-18;51;14 SO REALLY EXCITED TO LEARN FROM A VETERAN LIKE THAT. AND THEN ALSO KEVIN YOUKILIS, AS I MENTIONED, A GREAT NAME ON HIS OWN. SO VERY EXCITED TO BE ALONGSIDE THEM. FOR PAY, THIS OPPORTUNITY COMES EARLY IN A CAREER THAT BEGAN JUST A FEW YEARS AGO, BUT SHE’S WORKED HARD TO EARN IT. TIEDEMANN, ON THE OTHER HAND, HAS CLIMBED THROUGH THE MINOR LEAGUE RANKS OVER NEARLY A DECADE, STARTING HER CAREER IN ALASKA. FOR HER, MONDAY NIGHT WILL BE A FULL-CIRCLE MOMENT. 18;55;51-18;55;58 IT’S GOING TO BE EMOTIONAL, I THINK. YOU KNOW, THINKING BACK WHEN I FIRST STARTED IN ALASKA, I NEVER THOUGHT THAT, YOU KNOW, MAYBE IN TEN YEARS I’LL BE AT FENWAY PARK. WHILE MONDAY NIGHT MAY FEEL LIKE “JUST ANOTHER BASEBALL GAME” FOR THE DUO AS TIEDEMANN SAID, IT’S ALSO A MOMENT TO RECOGNIZE THAT WOMEN BELONG IN BASEBALL-AND THEY’RE HERE TO STAY. 18;53;55-18;54;03 WHEN YOU CAN SEE IT, YOU CAN BE IT. SO JUST HAVING THAT VISUALIZATION AND KNOWING THAT IT’S NOT ABNORMAL AND WOMEN ARE ALREADY DOING THESE JOBS. MONDAY NIGHT’S BROADCAST ON NESN WITH FIRST PITCH SET FOR TIEDEMANN AND PAY WILL CAL

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
