SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Dogs of all breeds and sizes were on display Saturday at Riverside Park.
The Siouxland Humane Society hosted its 22nd annual Pets on Parade fundraiser this morning. Pet owners and their four-legged friends took a nice mile walk to help raise money for the animal shelter.

The event was full of prizes, dog treats, and Humane Society pets available for adoption. All different types of dogs, cats, and even a chicken, found their way to Riverside Park to join in on the fun.
“I think people in the community really like events they can bring their pets to, so it just has grown, and when it gets bigger then more vendors want to come,” said Siouxland Humane Society director of development Maddy Nettleton. “We expanded and brought in food trucks, which people really like. When more people come, that’s when we can get more sponsorships and get more things and make it bigger and better.”
This is the Humane Society’s second biggest fundraiser and raises more than $40,000 every year.
