HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (WNYT) – Hoosick Falls Police said that four rottweiler dogs attacked and then bit a two-year-old child on 4th Street in Hoosick Falls on Wednesday.

The child was treated on scene by the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad and Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad Paramedic.

Police said the child is now in the hospital and his condition is unknown.

The Rensselaer County Health Department said they made contact with the owners of the dogs who chose to have the dogs euthanized and then tested for rabies.

NewsChannel 13 spoke with Seargent John Hudson from Hoosick Falls Police Department who said he feels for everyone involved.

“As you can imagine, it was a very traumatic event not only for the family but for all those that responded. Our thoughts are with the family and all those involved. As we work through it, we will release more information as we can,” Hudon said.

Hudson also told us the incident is currently under investigation.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
