Orangeburg County shelter seeks homes for dogs displaced by Debby

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) – The Orangeburg County Animal Shelter and Pawmetto Lifeline, a nonprofit animal rescue organization in Columbia, are asking the public to help find homes for 23 large-breed dogs.

The dogs, while originally in the care of Orangeburg County, were moved to Pawmetto Lifeline after the county was swept by floodwaters from Tropical Storm Debby.

Skunks are scavengers. They often dig through trash cans and piles of garbage.

The county said they are urgently asking the community to help adopt, rescue or foster these dogs, so they do not have to return to the outdoor kennels at the shelter.

The Orangeburg County Animal Shelter is currently facing limited staffing and resources coupled with severe overcrowding. The county said if the dogs were moved back, it could place their lives at risk.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
