SAN ANTONIO – The owners of the dogs involved in the deadly attack of an elderly man on the southwest side last year must stand trial.

Abilene Schneider and Christian Moreno wanted a judge to dismiss their case, but the judge denied that request.
Back in 2023, the couple’s dog brutally attacked an elderly couple killing 81-year-old Ramon Najera. Schneider and Moreno are charged with a Dangerous Dog Attack Resulting in Death and Injury to an Elderly Person.
