Kalamazoo’s Dogs in the Zoo event brings fun for pups and owners alike

A dog-focused event in Kalamazoo drew pups from all over Saturday.

Dogs in the Zoo had fun for humans and dogs alike, with multiple stores downtown participating in the fun.

“It’s just a fun event to bring people downtown. Every shop is doing a little something to encourage people to bring their dog downtown and just enjoy,” said Kathleen Widner, co-owner of the Spirit of Kalamazoo.

The event featured pup cups, tennis balls for play, a splash pad, an agility course, a puppy kissing booth, and even bubbles.

It also featured a dog treat bake sale, with proceeds going towards two local animal rescue centers.

The event was sponsored by Downtown Kalamazoo Shops and BeowoofProvisions for Pets.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
