Vt. filmmaker to attempt world record for dogs attending a film screening

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – A Vermont filmmaker has a new movie coming out, and he wants your help to break a Guinness World Record at its premiere this weekend in Middlebury.

The current world record for most dogs to attend a film screening was set last year when 219 attended the premiere of “Paw Patrol.”

Middlebury filmmaker Andy Mitchell is trying to beat that. He’s inviting dogs of all shapes and sizes on Saturday to the screening of his new documentary “Inside the Mind of a Dog,” which releases on Netflix on Friday.

“I’m really excited about the whole thing. It’s fun to watch the community come together around such an unusual event,” Mitchell said.

The event takes place Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the Memorial Sports Center.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
